A public discussion about a history book timed to coincide with Tuscaloosa’s bicentennial year has been postponed.
The Tuscaloosa Bicentennial Commission said that the discussion, scheduled for Sunday afternoon, will be rescheduled because its timing conflicts with the funeral of Tuscaloosa Police Officer Darnell Cousette.
A new date for the discussion of “Tuscaloosa: 200 Years in the Making” by Guy Hubbs will be announced at a later date.
Hubbs’ book is available for purchase at local booksellers and online retailers. It can also be checked out at all branches of the Tuscaloosa Public Library. For more information about the city’s bicentennial, go to www.tuscaloosa200.com.
