Historian G. Ward Hubbs will speak on his book “Tuscaloosa: 200 Years in the Making” 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, in the second floor atrium of the Tuscaloosa Federal Building, 2005 University Blvd.
Hubbs, who wrote the city’s first comprehensive history at the urging of the Tuscaloosa 200 Bicentennial Commission, will be interviewed by Don Noble, UA English professor emeritus and host of the long-running Alabama Public Television series “Bookmark.”
After the discussion, and light refreshments, Hubbs will sign copies of his book. The event is free and open to all; copies of the book will be for sale.
An earlier event was postponed, for commemorations of the death of Tuscaloosa Police Investigator Dornell Cousette.
