The author of a book on the history of Tuscaloosa will discuss his work Friday at the Main Library branch, 1801 Jack Warner Parkway.
Guy Hubbs, who wrote “Tuscaloosa: 200 Years in the Making,” will also be available to sign copies of his book from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. The book was a project organized by the Tuscaloosa 200 Bicentennial Commission as one of many offerings leading up to the city’s 200th anniversary.
Hubbs’ appearance is part of the Tuscaloosa Public Library’s Summer Reading Program Midsummer Party and Tuscaloosa Birthday Bash. The free event will also feature food, crafts and a performance by the Alabama Blues Project’s advanced band.
