SHELTERS
There are three primary emergency shelters on the Seacoast that serve a variety of homeless populations, in addition to a number of specialized homes and facilities. The primary emergency shelters are:

IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE
Coordinated Entry: If you are in need of shelter, officials ask individuals first contact Coordinated Entry at 603-435-2448. Coordinated Entry is a statewide system created to help residents navigate the various services available, and staff are trained to identify possible resources in any given community region. Not everyone is eligible for every type of assistance.
Welfare departments: Officials recommend contacting your local welfare office as the starting point to find access to housing, services, assistance programs and resources in your area.
Police and Fire: Officials recommend contacting your police or fire department for after-hours and emergency assistance if you have difficulty obtaining it through other means.
211: Dial 2-1-1 to connect with a free statewide phone system to find information about health and human services available in their community.
