Players from Shelby high schools who are on Football Bowl Subdivision rosters for the 2018 season.

WESLEY BULLARD, WR, Freshman, Charlotte (Shelby Crest) – A walk-on who joined the 49ers in January after spending a year at Jireh Prep. Played for two state champion teams at Crest.

KOLLIN BYERS, OL, Freshman, N.C. State (Shelby Crest) – A redshirt last season, Byers is expected to work in a reserve role at center this season for the Wolfpack.

CALVIN CAMP, RB, Freshman, Charlotte (Shelby) – Camp made a strong case for playing time in 2018 when he rushed seven times for 109 yards and two scores in Charlotte's spring game in April.

JUSTIN FOSTER, DE, Sophomore, Clemson (Shelby Crest) – Enters 2018 in a backup role on Clemson's veteran defensive front. Foster made eight tackles while appearing in nine games last season.

WILLIE GREEN, QB, Freshman, Charlotte (Shelby Crest) – A transfer from Southern Miss who joined the 49ers in January, Green directed Shelby Crest to 32 straight wins and state titles in 2014 and 2015.

TRE HARISON, RB, Sophomore, Northern Illinois (Shelby Crest) – Ran for 294 yards and three touchdowns last season in backup role for the Huskies after transferring from Virginia.

DAX HOLLIFIELD, LB, Freshman, Virginia Tech (Shelby) – One of North Carolina's top prospects last season, Hollifield will compete for playing time as a true freshman for the Hokies at middle linebacker.

JALEN MOORE, RB, Senior, Appalachian State (Shelby Crest) – The leading rusher in the Sun Belt Conference the last two seasons, Moore enters his senior year with 3,170 career yards.

AARON RAMSEUR, LB, Sophomore, East Carolina (Shelby Crest) – Finished as the Pirates' fourth-leading tackler last season with 57 and will be an all-star candidate in 2018.

CHRIS WILLIS, DE, Sophomore, Appalachian State (Shelby Crest) – Expected to again serve as a top reserve at defensive end for the Mountaineers after making 15 tackles in a similar role last season in 12 games.
