Easton announces summer events for commemoration of 20th

Easton Town Center will be celebrating its birthday with two main events this summer.

Shoppers can celebrate and do some good at Easton's 20th Birthday Party and Volunteer Fair from 1 to 4 p.m. June 30.

Participants in Easton's Change for Charity program will be at the mall to share ways that people can volunteer and and help their community.

This year's Change for Charity recipients are The Center for Family Safety and Healing, Harmony Project, Ruling our eXperiences, Furniture Bank of Central Ohio, Homeport and KIPP Columbus.

The Change for Charity project selects six organizations each year that receive proceeds from Easton's parking meters and parking tickets. More than $1.4 million has been given to local charities through this program.

Harmony Project, a community choir that started in 2009, also will be performing at the birthday celebration June 30.

The second celebration is the “Easton Celebrates 20 Years” concert that starts at 5 p.m. July 20.
