State of Emergency
The opioid crisis in the Delaware Valley
Throughout 2018, the State of Emergency series has identified efforts being made to save lives impacted by addiction and the opioid crisis, as well as the barriers that keep help out of reach. Led by reporters Marion Callahan, Kelly Kultys and Jenny Wagner, the stories have focused on issues ranging from stigma surrounding the disease of addiction, to the experiences of women and grandparents affected by addiction, and the roles that the legal system and the community play in treatment and recovery.
